The Research is based on low study result of students in grade V SDN Pengambangan 3 Banjarmasin for Lesson Ethnic and Cultural Diversity In Indonesia. These problems occurred because students didn’t pay attention to the teacher and busy for themselves, the student activities during the lesson aren’t active and less enthusiastic to learn, the students are not attracted and less interested during the lesson. This problem is caused by teacher rarely use instructional media, so it’s too difficult to focus students‘ interest. Teachers seldom involve students in the learning process, so the interaction between teachers to students and between students to students are rare happened. And in the learning process, teachers do not use learning models that make student to be interesting for learning.

 

         The approaching used in this study is qualitative approach and the type of research is Classroom Action Research which is implemented for four cycles. The research was set at SDN Pengambangan 3 Banjarmasin in grade V that have 16 students in the class, which consist of 12 male and 4 female students.

         The results showed that teacher activity in 1st cycle scored 67.86 and the criteria is good. Fourth cycle increased to 92.86 and got very good criteria. Student activity on the first cycle of the class average is 56.51 and increased to 84.9 or reached 32.29% in first cycle and became 92.71 in the fourth cycle. The completeness of study result in the first cycle reached 56.25% and increased to 87.5% in cycle IV classicaly.

 

            Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that learning by using combination of learning model of student facilitator and explaining, two stay two stray and course review horay can increase teacher activity, students’ learning result and activity in lesson material Stuggle on Maintaining Independence. It is suggested that teachers use combination learning model of student facilitator and explaining, two stay two stray and course review horay for improving interaction and involvement in creating learning activities as well as interest and result of student learning in class in following learning.
