The problem in this study is the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts, especially in addition and subtraction of fractions. This is evident from the data of student grades in the academic year 2017/2018 which only found 56% of students who achieved the KKM set by the school and from the results of the average math scores of the previous 3 years which tended to decrease, because learning takes place still using the one-way learning model , which causes the level of student activity becomes very low and learning emphasizes rote learning rather than understanding. Based on that, effective learning strategies need to be applied to overcome these problems, one of them is using the Problem Based Learning learning model with a combination of Numbered Heads Together and Media Realia with the aim of increasing teacher activity, student activities and learning outcomes. Hirang 1.

The approach implemented in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of the study were students of Class IV SDN Gudang Hirang 1 using the Problem Based Learning Model with a combination of Numbered Heads Together and Media Realia. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Indicators of success: (1) teacher activity ≥81% with very good qualifications; (2) student activity ≥ 81% on very active criteria; and (3) learning outcomes ≥ 70 and classically> 80.

The results showed that the activities of the teacher in the first cycle carried out very well, student activities and learning outcomes of Fraction Addition Through Problem Based Learning Model with a combination of Numbered Heads Together and Media Realia. Where the teacher's activity in the first cycle was 80% to 98% in the second cycle. Student activity by 75% in the first cycle increased to 93% in the second cycle, and student learning outcomes at the end of the first cycle of 66.67% of students who achieved completeness increased to 100% in the second cycle.

Based on the results of the study showed that fraction sum learning outcomes increased with the application of the problem based learning model with a combination of numbered heads together and realia media. For that problem based learning model with a combination of numbered heads together and realia media can be used as an alternative strategy to be used in learning in the classroom
