Calculation of raw material variance analysis using the three difference model, namely: The One-Way Model is the calculation of the difference between actual costs and standard costs not broken down into price differences and quantity differences, The Two-Way Model is the difference between actual costs and standard costs broken down into two kinds of differences, namely the difference in price and the difference in quantity or efficiency, and the Three-Way Model is the difference between the standard cost and the actual cost broken down into three kinds of differences, namely the difference price, quantity difference, and price / quantity difference.

This study aims to determine the variance in particle board raw material costs between the actual raw material costs and the standardized raw material costs and the causes of the difference in raw material costs at PT. Barito Pacific Tbk. 2016-2018.

The results of this study indicate that in 2016 there was a favorable difference for a set of Rp. 4,829,034,736.39,- and there is an unfavorable difference for saw dust of Rp. 12,008,695,526.29, - In 2017 there was a favorable difference for a set of Rp. 7,958,687,650,- and there was an unprofitable difference for saw dust of Rp. 17,712,945,880,- in 2018 there was a beneficial difference for a set of Rp. 23,205,445,855,- and there is a favorable difference for saw dust of Rp. 3,961,911,999,- the cause of the variance in the cost of raw materials is an increase and decrease in waste from sawmill and flymill companies, causing the raw material of both the saw and saw dust to rise and fall.

            Perhitungan analisis varians bahan baku menggunakan model tiga selisih yaitu : Model satu selisih (The One-Way Model) adalah perhitungan selisih antara biaya sesungguhnya dengan biaya standar tidak dipecah ke dalam selisih harga dan selisih kuantitas, Model Dua Selisih (The Two-Way Model) adalah selisih antara biaya sesungguhnya dengan biaya standar dipecah menjadi dua macam selisih, yaitu selisih harga dan selisih kuantitas atau efisiensi, dan Model Tiga Selisih (The Three-Way Model) adalah selisih antara biaya standar dengan biaya sesungguhnya dipecah menjadi tiga macam selisih, yaitu selisih harga, selisih kuantitas, dan selisih harga/kuantitas.

            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui varians biaya bahan baku particle board antara biaya bahan baku yang sesungguhnya terjadi dengan biaya bahan baku yang distandarkan dan penyebab terjadinya selisih biaya bahan baku pada PT. Barito Pacific Tbk. Tahun 2016-2018.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun 2016 terdapat selisih menguntungkan untuk sebetan sebesar Rp. 4.829.034.736,39,- dan terdapat selisih tidak menguntungkan untuk saw dust sebesar Rp. 12.008.695.526,29,- Tahun 2017 terdapat selisih menguntungkan untuk sebetan sebesar Rp.7.958.687.650,- dan terdapat selisih tidak menguntungkan untuk saw dust sebesar Rp. 17.712.945.880,- Tahun 2018 terdapat selisih menguntungkan untuk sebetan sebesar Rp. 23.205.445.855,- dan terdapat selisih menguntungkan untuk saw dust sebesar Rp. 3.961.911.999,- penyebab terjadinya varians biaya bahan baku adalah adanya peningkatan dan penurunan limbah dari perusahaan sawmill dan flymill sehingga mengakibatkan bahan baku sebetan maupun saw dust naik dan turun.
