Lesson plans are essential for teachers to construct before they teach in the classroom. The research was conducted to check and asses the suitability of the lesson plan components (instructional objectives, teaching and learning procedure, learning material and evaluation) with Curriculum 2013 based on Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 103 Tahun 2014. To check the suitability of lesson plans with Curriculum 2013, the researcher used checklist adapting from Minister of National Education Regulation No. 103 Year 2014 about Curriculum 2013 Study Guide for Elementary and Secondary School Therefore, the researcher employed descriptive qualitative study and the subjects of the research were English lesson plans of grade 10 and 11 Semester 1 designed by English teachers at SMAN 1 Banjarbaru and SMAN 1 Banjarmasin. Research data was collected from analyzing the lesson plans. The data was verified by interviewing four teachers from both schools. The findings of the research showed that there were still missing components of lesson plan (instructional objectives, teaching and learning procedure, learning material, evaluation) and the teachers use the same lesson plans from MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran). Some of components of the lesson plans were incomplete. Therefore, it is suggested for all teachers to construct the lesson plans carefully and to be more thorough. By all means, teachers can collaborate with other teachers on what to teach as long as it fits the characteristics of the students.
