            The researcher intends to conduct a research about the students ability in reading comprehension at English Department Student of Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin. This research attemp to describe the students ability and would be classified into levels.

            This research uses descriptive method. The data analysis is made by using qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are the students who are studyig in English Deparment of Lambung Mangkurat University batch 2017. There were 40 students who were involved as samples in this research. The data were collected through test.

            Based on the data analysis, it is obtained that the students level in reading comprehension are varieties.

            Based on the data found, the researcher concludes that the qualification of the students in reading comprehension, most of the students are considered in good qualification. There also students considered in very poor qualification.
