The Use of Digital Interpretation In The Determination of Silvicultural
Multisystem In Production Forest Areas Banjar Regency is guided by Ir. Karta Sirang
MS and Dr.Ir. Ahmad Jauhari MP. Production forest   in Indonesia consists of several
types of slope classes with varying land cover conditions. Based on these
circumstances, of course each state has a different management system with each
other, in accordance with the characteristics of the area. Method of sustainability and
environmental management in a management area, in this case the production forest
area. One of them is with the use of digital interpretation, where the results of
processing and analysis are mostly done through the computer.
This study aims to identification slope class  and land cover conditions in one
of the production forest areas of the research, which is often one of the factors in
determining the silvicultural system applied to each state of the slope class type and
the land cover (silvicultural multisystem) right in a management space.
The method used in this research is by field analysis method (Terrain
Analysis) , Normalization of digital vegetation index (NDVI), and supported by
observation in the field. Primary data needed in this research data data DEM (Digital
elvation model) and Citra Landsat-8, while secondary data is general condition of
research area (Road, river, Settlement). Data processing is done through data
processing of DEM (digital elevation model) into slope class according to space of
Ministry of agriculture (1980) and the Processing satellite imagery  landsat-8 image
through Normalization of digital vegetation index (NDVI) in determining land cover

type according to search result made based on observation and computer analysis.
Determination of the silvicultural Multisystem (MSS) applied, based on the overlay
result (Overlap) between the slope class state map with the state of the land cover.
The results obtained in this study, the type of slopes in the study area
consisted of slope type 1 (flat) with an area of 1390 ha, slope type 2 (ramps) with an
area of 632 ha, type 3 slopes (rather steep) with 165 ha, slope type 4 (steep) with an
area of 19.5 ha. closure conditions of type 1 closure class (non-vegetation / ex-mine)
with area of 0.3 ha, closing class 2 (open land) with area of 52.75 ha, closing class 3
(shrubs, old groves, paddy fields) 213 ha , type 4 class (rare density vegetation) 309
ha, closure class 5 (medium density vegetation) 1537 ha, and closure grade 6 (dense
vegetation density) 132 ha. Based on the type of slopes and land cover conditions, the
determination of the application of silvicultural multisystem (MSS) in the research
area consists of Tebang select planting path (TPTJ), Tebang select planting path
(TPTJ) with technical treatment, and artificial re-weeding (THPB) coaching
