The problem in this study is that learning is one-way, students are not yet trained in digging information, low student learning activities, resulting in low student learning outcomes with the KKM set, namely KKM 70. To improve student learning outcomes in science content in class V SDN Anjir Pasar Kota II.2 Barito Kuala District, researchers used the VISUAL INKUIRI STICK model, with the aim of describing teacher activities, student activities, and analyzing the improvement in student learning outcomes.
This study uses a qualitative and quantitative research approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in three meetings. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN Anjir Pasar Kota II.2, Barito Kuala Regency, totaling 7 students consisting of 3 male students and 4 female students in the second semester of 2020/2021. Qualitative data were obtained through individual written test measurement techniques. Data analysis can be calculated based on the percentage scale and the specified learning completeness indicators.
The results of this study indicate that the activities of the teachers in meetings 1 to 3 have increased. Meeting 1 achieved good enough criteria, meeting 2 reached good criteria, meeting 3 reached very good criteria. Classical completeness of student learning outcomes at meeting 1 cognitive 42.86%, affective 85.71%, psychomotor 42.86%, cognitive meeting 2 71.43%, affective 85.71%, psychomotor 85.71%, meeting 3 cognitive 100%, affective 100%, psychomotor 100%.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the VISUAL INKUIRI STICK model can improve student learning outcomes on the temperature and heat material in class V SDN Anjir Pasar Kota II.2 Barito Kuala Regency and the hypothesis can be accepted. Suggestions for teachers as material for consideration in choosing a learning model.
