ABSTRACT

Sa’diah, Halimatus.(2021). Improve The Student Learning  Activities of Science Content Students Using The SAVI and Scramble Learning Model Assisted with Audio-Visual  Media in Elementary School Students. Thesis S1 Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin. Supervisor: Dr. Novitawati, S.Psi., M.Pd.

Keywords: Student Learning Activities, SAVI( Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually), Scramble and Audio-Visual Media.

The problem in this study is the low activity and learning outcomes of fifth grade students of UPTD SDN Tanjung Dewa on the science content of on the  charge of the material the effect of heat on temperature and shape. This is due to students not actively involved and not directly involved in the learning process. This condition occurs because the learning process is less attractive and still one-way. This study aims to determine teacher activities, student activities and student learning outcomes using the SAVI learning models  and scramble assisted with audio-visual media.

This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Conducted in 3 meetings. The research subjects were students in class V. The number of students is 24 in the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The type of data in this study is qualitative data obtained through observations of teacher activities and student activities and quantitative data obtained through written tests in groups and individually. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive techniques and described in tables and graphs, which were then interpreted using the criteria for each indicator of the success of teacher activity, student activity, and student learning completeness achievement, both individually and classically.

The results showed that teacher activity increased at the third meeting reaching a score of 29 with the criteria of "very good". Student activity at the third meeting experienced an increase in the criteria of "almost entirely active" with a percentage of 85.71%. Classical completeness of cognitive aspects of student learning outcomes at the first meeting reached 52.17%, increased at the third meeting to 85.71%.

Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the learning model of Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) and Scramble assisted by audio-visual media make teacher activities run smoothly and can increase student learning activities and their learning outcomes on natural science content. It is recommended to use this model as an alternative in increasing student activity which has an impact on improving student learning outcomes.
