Kejar Paket C program is a non-formal education that is attended by people from various backgrounds and situations that make them need different treatments with those who attend formal schools (Senior High School). Thus, the researcher is interested in investigating this non-formal education program that focuses on the tutor’s difficulties in teaching English through SETARA DARING application at Kejar Paket C PKBM warrahmah Banjarmasin. This study employed the descriptive qualitative approach and used observation and interview as research instruments. There was only a tutor taught three classes in Kejar Paket C program.

The result of this study revealed that the difficulties faced by the tutor were the unfamiliarity with the application, unstable connection and technical problems with the application, and the lack of direct interaction between the tutor and the students. Furthermore, according to the tutor, the lack of direct interaction between the tutor and the students was the main problem in teaching English through the SETARA DARING application. Since the tutor cannot explain the material directly to the students, the students have a difficult time understanding the materials taught. However, the tutor points out the advantage of the use of SETARA DARING in teaching English which is a flexible schedule for the tutor and the students.

Finally, it is suggested for PKMB Warrahmah Banjarmasin to provide training for all the tutors so that they can operate the application well. Moreover, it is suggested to the tutor to prepare explanation videos for each material that can be easily accessed by the students. Thus, the students can get sufficient guidance in learning the materials.
