The material for spatial interaction in life in ASEAN countries is found in the textbooks of class VIII semester 1 students. This material is not only fixed on textbooks so there is a need for development of the material. Therefore, the material of spatial interaction in life in ASEAN countries in class VIII social studies learning is analyzed with basic competencies (KD) so that the results of the analysis can be used as reference material for educators, students, book writers, and researchers.
The purposes of writing in this research are: (1) To describe the material of spatial interaction in life in ASEAN countries. (2) Knowing the analysis of the suitability of spatial interaction material in life in ASEAN countries and basic competencies. The method used in this research is literature study. Literature review is used for research design in the literature study. The literature search strategy was used to search articles with keywords from the four problem formulations. The data search mechanism is used to find keywords from the four problem formulations. The resulting data search is then analyzed on the results and discussion.
Based on the findings of the literature on the discussion of Spatial Interaction in Life in ASEAN Countries, it can be concluded that: (1) Spatial interaction is the existence of a relationship between events that are related in interaction, which can be triggered by natural and human factors such as ASEAN, an organization that aims to increase friendship and friendship. cooperation in the fields of economic growth, social progress and cultural development of its member countries is based on the factors of togetherness to become an international organization. (2) MEA is a form of cooperative relationship on economic development in ASEAN inviting free competition in the fields of trade, business actors, and employment as well as in the field of education which will be a challenge along with opportunities in the world of education, when the population in Indonesia has low quality capabilities. then of course lose in the world of competition. (3) Social studies education has to do with the preparation of students to play an active role or participate in the development of Indonesia and to be involved in the association of the world community (global society).
