This study aims to determine the impact of coal mining pollution on the water quality of the Kintap River in Kintap District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province.  The research was conducted in October 2022 in Kintap District with direct research and continued analysis by the Banjarbaru Environmental Service laboratory.  The parameters used are temperature, color, odor, TDS, COD, phosphate and pH.  Sample points were taken in the river, namely 4 points for each point there were 3 water samples and using the stored KEPMEN LH calculation method No.  115 of 2003. Results of research with the determination of parameters that parameters that do not meet the standards of this research is the temperature parameter.  Determination of quality and class status uses a value system from "US-EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) where the 4 points of the study found a value of -8, which means that the Kintap River is included in category B which indicates the status of the Kintap River is Lightly Polluted.
