The formation of a professional teacher, which begins with a theoretical understanding of teacher competency, must be followed by direct teaching practice in educational institutions. Therefore, the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia, Nadiem Anwar Makarim launched the MBKM-Teaching Assistance Program. In this study the researchers want to know the point of view English students at Lambung Mangkurat University of MBKM-Teaching Assistance Program toward the practice of teaching skills.

The approach used for this research was a descriptive qualitative design, where the specific method of this research was an in-depth interview. The researcher used interviews and documentation as the research instruments to gather the data. The research was conducted at the Lambung Mangkurat University, in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, English Language Education Study Program.

Findings of the research show that the English students has positive perceptions on practicing their teaching skills during the MBKM-Teaching Assistance program. However, there are also those who give negative perception because they do not get the experience during the MBKM-Teaching Assistance program on some teaching skills.
