ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian suplemen moringa molases multinutrient block (MMMB) dan Calphos Block® terhadap profil biokimia darah kambing peranakan etawa dara terlambat estrus. Penelitian ini mengunakan 10 ekor kambing PE dara terlambat estrus yang diberi suplemen MMMB sebagai perlakuan dan 10 ekor kambing PE dara terlambat estrus yang diberi suplemen Calphos Block® sebagai kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji t–test (Independent Sample). Parameter yang diamati yaitu urea plasma darah, kolestrol darah dan glukosa darah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada awal sebelum pemberian suplemen MMMB dan Calphos Block® kemudian setelah 2 bulan pemberian suplemen. Sampel darah kemudian disentrifuge untuk memisahkan plasma darah. Plasma darah dikumpulkan dalam ice box atau freezer untuk analisis kadar urea plasma darah, kolestrol darah dan glukosa darah. Kadar urea plasma darah, kolestrol darah dan glukosa darah tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata (P>0,05) masing- masing 20.62 vs 13.25 mg/dl untuk urea plasma darah, 108.50 vs 108.20 mg/dl untuk kolestrol darah, dan 66.77 vs 69.40 untuk glukosa darah. Kadar urea plasma darah, kolestrol darah dan glukosa darah tersebut masih dalam kategori normal.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of giving moringa molasses multinutrient block (MMMB) and Calphos Block® supplements on the blood biochemical profile of Etawa crossbreed goats late in estrus. This study used 10 PE goats late in estrus which were given MMMB supplements as treatment and 10 PE goats in late estrus which were given Calphos Block® supplements as controls. This research uses the t-test (Independent Sample) method. The parameters observed were blood plasma urea, blood cholesterol and blood glucose. Sampling was carried out at the beginning before giving MMMB and Calphos Block® supplements and then after 2 months of giving supplements. The blood sample is then centrifuged to separate the blood plasma. Blood plasma is collected in an ice box or freezer for analysis of blood plasma urea, blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels. Blood plasma urea, blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels did not show significant differences (P>0.05), respectively 20.62 vs 13.25 mg/dl for blood plasma urea, 108.50 vs 108.20 mg/dl for blood cholesterol, and 66.77 vs 69.40 for blood glucose. The blood plasma urea, blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels are still in the normal category.
