In-depth research on the use of strategies in translating expressions of idioms from 2018 to 2024 was carried out in this complete systematic literature review. It explores how expressions of idioms are translated using several strategies to obtain an equivalent translation from source language into target language. The object of this research is to find the translation strategies that are most often used in translating idioms by comparing 15 articles that analyzed strategies for translating idioms using different research instruments. The methodology of this research is Systematic Literture Review (SLR). There are 4 translation strategies used that proposed by Baker, namely: translation by using idiom in similar meaning and similar form, translation by using idiom in similar meaning but dissimilar form, translation by paraphrases, and translation of omissions. After all the articles have been analyzed, it was found that the strategy most often used to translate idioms was translation of paraphrasing.
