Online paraphrasing tools are web-based applications that facilitate the rephrasing or reordering of text but still maintain the basic meaning of the text.  In the context of writing a sarjana’s thesis, online paraphrasing tools could be used as an alternative platform to help students as a tool in reformulate ideas or theories according to experts to be remade into their own words that are easy to understand without forgetting to include the source. This study investigates students' perceptions of using online paraphrasing tools in writing their sarjana's thesis. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of 44 English language education study program students’ batch 2020 Lambung Mangkurat University who were taking a Sarjana's thesis program in 2024. The data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. The results show that students have a positive perception of online paraphrasing tools, These findings show that students’ perception online paraphrasing tools as valuable supporting tools in their writing a sarjana’s thesis, as they are satisfied with their use, consider them effective in improving their work, and consider them accessible during the writing process. The study suggests that future research focus on the perception of lecturers teaching academic writing, especially those teaching academic writing skills of the use of paraphrasing tools in student writing assignments.
