Pengasuhan anak dalam keluarga digambarkan sebagai suatu struktur ideal dengan kelengkapan dua sosok pengasuh untuk anak, yakni ayah dan ibu. sampai saat ini pengasuhan menitikberatkan pada peran ibu sebagai tokoh utama, padahal ayah dalam pendidikan anak juga memiliki peranan yang sangat besar. Namun fenonema yang kerap ditemukan di lingkungan adalah sebagian besar ayah tidak mau tahu mengenai pengasuhan serta perkembangan anak, termasuk pendidikan anak-anaknya. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuiapakahadaperbedaanketerlibatanayah pada anakyangtinggaldikotadandi desa dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis uji-T. subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang ayahyangtinggaldikotadandidesadiKabupatenBanjar.Penelitianinimenggunakanteknikpurposivesampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa ditemukanperbedaanketerlibatanayahdalam  pengasuhanyangtinggaldikotadandidesadiKabupatenBanjar. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi kepada orang tua dan sebagai bahan pertimbanganmengenaiketerlibatan ayahpadaanak.

ABSTRACT

DIFFERENCES IN FATHER INVOLVEMENT IN PARENTING BETWEEN FATHERS LIVING IN CITY AND THOSE LIVING IN VILLAGE IN BANJAR REGENCY

Child rearing or parenting in family is described as an ideal structure with the completeness of two caregivers for the children, namely father and mother. Up to this time, the responsibility of parenting has fallen more on the mother as the main figure, even though fathers should also have a big role in children's education. In fact, there is a phenomenon often found in the society revealing that most fathers do not want to know about the care and development of children, including their children's education. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in father involvement in parenting between fathers living in the city and those living in the village using a quantitative method with T-test analysis. The subjects of this study were 70 fathers living in the city and the village in Banjar Regency. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study showed that there were differences in father involvement in parenting between fathers living in the city and fathers living in the village in Banjar Regency. This study can provide information to parents and as a consideration regarding father involvement in parenting.
