Perairan sungai Miai merupakan tempat yang terletak di kawasan pemukiman padat penduduk dengan beragam aktivitas rumah tangga dan tempat pembuangan sampah (TPS), salah satu yang berbahaya adalah limbah yang mengandung logam berat. Logam berat timbal (Pb) berbahaya dikarenakan bersifat racun. Penelitian bertujuan mengukur konsentrasi Pb pada ikan seluang, air, dan mengetahui hubungan antara kadar Pb pada air dengan ikan dan berat ikan. Penelitian dilakukan di perairan Sungai Miai. Pengambilan sampel air dan ikan seluang dilakukan dengan metode purpossive sampling. Sampel diambil dari 2 stasiun dengan tiga kali pengulangan dan kandungan Pb dianalisis menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Hasil kandungan Pb pada air sungai di stasiun 1 rata-rata berkisar 0,00589 mg/L dan stasiun 2 rata-rata berkisar 0,00690 mg/L dan hasil kadar Pb pada ikan seluang di stasiun1 rata-rata berkisar 0,00333 mg/kg dan stasiun 2 rata-rata berkisar 0,00600 mg/kg. Artinya air sungai dan ikan seluang terkontaminasi Pb tetapi masih di bawah baku mutu yang di tetapkan, sehingga masih dapat dimanfaatkan sesuai peruntukannya dan masih aman untuk dikonsumsi. Hubungan Pb pada ikan dengan berat ikan menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r = -0,598 artinya berkorelasi sedang tak searah dan Pb di air dengan Pb di ikan berkolerasi r = 0,439 menunjukkan hubungan dengan tingkat sedang.

The waters of the Miai River are located in a densely populated residential area with a variety of household activities and landfills (TPS), one of which is hazardous waste containing heavy metals. Heavy metal lead (Pb) is dangerous because it is toxic. The study aimed to measure the concentration of Pb in seluang fish, water, and determine the relationship between Pb levels in water with fish and fish weight. The research was conducted in the waters of the Miai River. Sampling of water and seluang fish was done by purposive sampling method. Samples were taken from 2 stations with three repetitions and Pb content was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results of Pb content in river water at station 1 averaged around 0.00589 mg/L and station 2 averaged around 0.00690 mg/L and the results of Pb levels in seluang fish at station 1 averaged around 0.00333 mg/kg and station 2 averaged around 0.00600 mg/kg. This means that river water and seluang fish are contaminated with Pb but still below the quality standards set, so they can still be utilized according to their designation and are still safe for consumption. The relationship between Pb in fish and fish weight shows a correlation coefficient of r = -0.598, meaning that the correlation is unidirectional and Pb in water with Pb in fish correlates r = 0.439, indicating a relationship with a moderate level.
