The development of tidal marshlands in the agricultural sector faces a major obstacle, namely the presence of pyrite compounds as a characteristic of acid sulfate soils, which when oxidized can increase soil acidity and iron solubility so that it is toxic to plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in soil acidity and iron solubility in tidal lands at various types of land overflow and soil depth. This study used a nested design method with the factors tried were tidal land overflow type (overflow type A, overflow type B, and overflow type C) and soil depth (0-20 cm, 20-40 cm, 40-60 cm, 60-80 cm, and 80-100 cm), with a total of two replications. The results showed that the overflow type of tidal land (overflow type A, B, and C) had no significant effect on soil acidity and iron solubility in the form of ferrous (Fe2+), Fe-soluble, and ferric (Fe3+) but the soil depth factor (0-20 cm, 20-40 cm, 40-60 cm, 60-80 cm, and 80-100 cm) showed an effect on soil acidity and iron solubility in the form of ferrous (Fe2+), Fe-soluble, and ferric (Fe3+).
