“Perception of Junior High School Students About Early Marriage

in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru City"

Early marriage for junior high school students who are entering their early teenage years certainly has a great impact on the reproductive health of adolescents who are engaged in early marriage, both physically and psychologically. Early marriage still occurs because there are still students who have the view that early marriage is a common thing to do. The study entitled "Perception of Junior High School Students About Early Marriage in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru". This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the perceptions of students at SMPN 4 Banjarmasin, SMPN 6 Banjarmasin, and SMPN 2 Banjarbaru about early marriage. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a total sample of 269 respondents with details of data at SMPN 4 Banjarmasin as many as 82 respondents, at SMPN 6 Banjarmasin as many as 100 respondents, and at SMPN 2 Banjarbaru as many as 87 respondents. Data analysis in this study used a percentage technique with the aim of knowing the percentage of each question asked in the questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the average cognitive score at SMPN 4 was 74, at SMPN 6 Banjarmasin it was 77 and at SMPN 2 Banjarbaru it was 74. The three schools gave the same view that they agreed in the sense of agreeing not to marry early and prioritizing education first.
