High use of inorganic fertilizers can have a negative impact on soil fertility and the environment. Organic farming uses organic materials as a solution to increase crop production and preserve the environment. Water hyacinth can be used as a material for making pellet fertilizer with the addition of the right adhesive material to improve physical and chemical quality. This study aims to find out the chemical characteristics of water hyacinth pellet fertilizer with various types of adhesive materials compared to SNI 7763:2024 and to find out the type of adhesive material that best meets the SNI 7763:2024 value. This research was carried out from October 2024 to March 2025. This study uses a descriptive method with the treatment of 3 types of adhesives. The study consisted of 3 treatments, namely ET1 = Water hyacinth flour + Tapioca flour, ET2 = Water hyacinth flour + Wheat flour, and ET3 = Water hyacinth flour + Bran flour. Each treatment was repeated with 2 repeats, so that 6 experimental units were obtained. The results of this study show that the chemical characteristics of pellet fertilizer with tapioca flour adhesive have pH and C-organic meet the SNI, while the total macronutrients and C/N ratio do not meet the SNI. Pellet fertilizer with wheat flour adhesive has a pH and C-organic meet SNI, while total macronutrients and C/N ratio do not meet SNI. Pellet fertilizer with bran flour adhesive has pH, C-organic, and total macronutrients meeting the SNI, while the C/N ratio does not meet the SNI. The adhesive material that meets SNI 7763:2024 the most is bran flour.
