This research aims to analyze the differences in factors affecting soil erodibility values on oil palm plantations, rubber plantations, and post-diamond mining land in Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, and conservation recommendations that can be made as an effort to mitigate the impacts of erosion occurring at the research location. This study was conducted by collecting data (primary and secondary data), observing soil characteristics, and calculating the amount of soil that has eroded on oil palm plantations, rubber plantations, and post-diamond mining areas, using purposive sampling method. The study was conducted in Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province. The analysis of physical and chemical properties of the soil was carried out at the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Laboratory of the Soil Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University. The factors that influence the level of soil erodibility in oil palm plantations and rubber plantations in the post-diamond mining area in Cempaka District are the physical properties of the soil (texture, structure, and permeability) and chemical factors of the soil (organic carbon value). The rubber plantation has a lower amount of eroded soil compared to the oil palm plantation. The post-diamond mining area has a higher amount of eroded soil compared to the oil palm and rubber plantations. The oil palm and rubber plantations fall into the low erosion risk index category, while the post-diamond mining area falls into the very high erosion risk index category. Conservation recommendations for the post-diamond mining area with a very high erosion risk index may include thick forest cover and reforestation with ground cover in the initial years.
