Peatlands are an important natural resource in Indonesia but face challenges in rice cultivation due to their acidic chemical properties and high levels of soluble iron (Fe). Efforts to improve soil chemical properties are carried out through the application of rice husk charcoal and water hyacinth bokashi, which are rich in nutrients and capable of increasing soil pH. This study aims to determine the effect of applying rice husk charcoal and water hyacinth bokashi, both individually and in combination, on reducing soluble Fe in peatinfluence rice fields.The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a twofactor factorial arrangement, namely water hyacinth bokashi (A) and rice husk charcoal (B). The treatments consisted of A0 = no water hyacinth bokashi,A1 = 15 ha?¹ water hyacinth bokashi, A2 = 20 t ha?¹ water hyacinth bokashi, and B0 = no rice husk charcoal, B1 = 5 t ha?¹ rice husk charcoal, B2 = 10 t ha?¹ rice husk charcoal.The results showed that the interaction between rice husk charcoal and water hyacinth bokashi had no significant effect on soluble Fe. However, the individual application of rice husk charcoal and water hyacinth bokashi had a highly significant effect on reducing soluble Fe. The B1 treatment (5 t ha?¹ rice husk charcoal) resulted in a soluble Fe value of 66.92 ppm, while the A1 treatment (15 t ha?¹ water hyacinth bokashi) resulted in 73.05 ppm.
