ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi kualitas air beserta dampaknya agar meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dan pemerintah tentang pentingnya menjaga kualitas air pada Sub DAS Martapura desa Sungai Batang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Indeks Pencemaran (IP) dan Indeks Kualitas Air (IKA). Hasil perhitungan indeks pencemaran (IP) di semua stasiun pengambilan sampel menunjukkan bahwa kondisi perairan tergolong tercemar ringan. Pada stasiun 1, nilai IP tertinggi terjadi pada minggu kedua stasiun 1 dengan skor 3,37. Pada stasiun 2, nilai IP tertinggi ada di minggu ke 2 pada stasiun 2 yaitu dengan skor 1,35 namun masih tergolong kategori tercemar ringan. Nilai IP stasiun 3 berkisar antara 0,69 -1,71. Hal ini mengindikasikan adanya fluktuasi kualitas air, kemungkinan dipengaruhi aktivitas domestik yang ada di stasiun ke 2. Nilai IKA pada stasiun 1 dan 2 minggu pertama berada dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan Stasiun 2 minggu kedua hingga stasiun 3 berada dalam kategori baik, dengan nilai IKA 70,00menunjukkan sedikit fluktuasi namun tetap masih memenuhi baku mutu air kelas II.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to determine the condition of water quality and its impacts in order to increase public and government understanding of the importance of maintaining water quality in the Martapura Sub-DAS, Sungai Batang Village. The methods used were the Pollution Index (IP) and the Water u Quality Index (IKA). The results of the calculation of the pollution index (IP) at all sampling stations showed that the water conditions were classified as lightly polluted. At station 1, the highest IP value occurred in the second week of station 1with a score of 1.75. At station 2, the highest IP value was in the 1st week at station 2, with a score of 3.34 but was still classified as lightly polluted. The IP value of station 3 ranged from 1.05-1.54. This indicates fluctuations in water quality, possibly influenced by domestic activities at station 2. The IKA values at station 1 and 2 in the first week were in the moderate category, while Station 2 in the second week to station 3 were in the good category, with an IKA value of 70.00 indicating slight fluctuations but still meeting class II water quality standards
