ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perbedaan pemberian pakan terhadap produktivitas serta kelayakan ekonomi budidaya larva ulat hongkong (Tenebrio molitor). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sumur Tutup, Kecamatan Mataraman, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan selama 25 hari pada bulan Januari–Februari 2026. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu dedak dan limbah dapur organik yang masing-masing diberikan pada dosis 750, 1.500, dan 2.500 mg/wadah/hari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi panjang tubuh, bobot tubuh, mortalitas, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), serta kelayakan ekonomi melalui analisis Break Even Point (BEP) dan R/C.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan pemberian pakan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati. Perlakuan limbah dapur organik dosis 1.500 mg/wadah/hari (P5) menghasilkan panjang tubuh tertinggi (2,478 cm), bobot tubuh tertinggi (0,077 g), dan FCR paling efisien (1,20), sedangkan mortalitas terendah (1,3%) diperoleh pada perlakuan dedak dosis 1.500 mg/wadah/hari (P2). Secara ekonomi, hanya P3 (dedak 2.500 mg/wadah/hari, R/C 1,05) dan P5 (limbah dapur organik 1.500 mg/wadah/hari, R/C 1,15) yang dinyatakan layak. P5 merupakan perlakuan paling direkomendasikan dengan keuntungan bersih tertinggi (Rp1.329,93/siklus) dan BEP harga terendah (Rp78.485,45/kg). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian limbah dapur organik dosis 1.500 mg/wadah/hari merupakan perlakuan optimal baik secara biologis maupun ekonomi dalam budidaya larva Tenebrio molitor.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze the effect of different feeds on the productivity and economic feasibility of yellow mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) larvae cultivation. The study was conducted in Sumur Tutup Village, Mataraman District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan for 25 days in January–February 2026. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with 6 treatments and 3 replications, consisting of rice bran and organic kitchen waste each given at doses of 750, 1,500, and 2,500 mg/container/day. The observed parameters included body length, body weight, mortality, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), and economic feasibility through Break Even Point (BEP) and R/C analysis.
The results showed that different feeds had a significant effect (P<0.05) on all observed parameters. The organic kitchen waste treatment at 1,500 mg/container/day (P5) produced the highest body length (2.478 cm), highest body weight (0.077 g), and most efficient FCR (1.20), while the lowest mortality (1.3%) was obtained with rice bran at 1,500 mg/container/day (P2). Economically, only P3 (rice bran 2,500 mg/container/day, R/C 1.05) and P5 (organic kitchen waste 1,500 mg/container/day, R/C 1.15) were declared feasible. P5 was the most recommended treatment, with the highest net profit (IDR 1,329.93/cycle) and the lowest break-even price (IDR 78,485.45/kg). It can be concluded that organic kitchen waste at a dose of 1,500 mg/container/day is the optimal treatment both biologically and economically for Tenebrio molitor larvae cultivation.
