The decline in agricultural land caused by land-use conversion has created the need to exploit marginal areas, such as saline soils, for agricultural purposes. Saline soils pose a significant challenge to agricultural productivity due to high soluble salt accumulation, which restricts nutrient availability. This research seeks to examine whether soil leaching influences electrical conductivity (EC) and decreases soil salinity and the application of organic and inorganic fertilizers on soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and available nitrogen (NH4+ and NO3-) in saline soil. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with seven treatments: Control (K), Chicken Manure at 200 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1, and 400 kg ha-1, and NPK fertilizer at 200 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1, and 400 kg ha-1 with three replications. Initial soil leaching effectively washed out soluble sodium salts. The variance analysis revealed that the treatments had a strong effect on soil pH and nitrogen availability after two weeks of incubation. Chicken manure was superior in increasing soil pH, with the 200 kg ha-1dose yielding the highest pH of 6.39. Conversely, NPK fertilizer significantly contributed to the highest available nitrogen (NH4+ and NO3-), where the 400 kg ha-1 dose was the most efficient. In conclusion, integrating soil leaching with chicken manure optimizes soil pH, while NPK fertilizer provides rapid nitrogen availability in saline soil management.
