AbstraK

Pemanfaatan limbah kulit singkong di Desa Cindai Alus belum optimal dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik kimia, nilai tambah, dan kelayakan ekonomi pemanfaatan limbah kulit singkong menjadi kompos, pakan ternak, dan briket. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini menggunakan basis input 100 kg limbah kulit singkong per siklus produksi dengan pendekatan full costing (upah tenaga kerja Rp75.000/HOK dan penyusutan peralatan). Hasil analisis kimia menunjukkan bahan baku mengandung kadar air 67,77%, abu 3,98%, protein 1,93%, lemak 1,76%, karbohidrat 24,56%, dan serat kasar 85,75%. Per siklus produksi, keuntungan dan nilai tambah (metode Hayami) berturut-turut adalah kompos sebesar Rp15.000 (rasio 6,67%), pakan ternak Rp25.000 (rasio 7,81%), dan briket Rp32.500 (rasio 6,50%). Analisis kelayakan investasi (tingkat diskonto 10%, umur usaha 5 tahun) menunjukkan seluruh alternatif layak dikembangkan. Pakan ternak menghasilkan NPV Rp487.236, IRR 36,37%, PI 1,75, dan Payback Period (PP) 2,17 tahun; briket menghasilkan NPV Rp367.610, IRR 17,51%, PI 1,20, dan PP 3,16 tahun; sedangkan kompos menghasilkan NPV Rp132.342, IRR 19,03%, PI 1,24, dan PP 3,06 tahun. Secara keseluruhan, pakan ternak merupakan alternatif terbaik dari aspek efisiensi finansial dan kelayakan investasi.

Abstract

The utilization of cassava peel waste in Cindai Alus Village is not yet optimal and poses potential environmental pollution. This study aims to analyze the chemical characteristics, value-added, and economic feasibility of utilizing cassava peel waste into compost, animal feed, and briquette products. This quantitative descriptive study used an input basis of 100 kg of cassava peel waste per production cycle using a full costing approach (labor wage of IDR 75,000/HOK and equipment depreciation). The chemical analysis showed that the raw material contained 67.77% moisture, 3.98% ash, 1.93% protein, 1.76% fat, 24.56% carbohydrates, and 85.75% crude fiber. Per production cycle, the profit and value-added (Hayami method) were IDR 15,000 (6.67% ratio) for compost, IDR 25,000 (7.81% ratio) for animal feed, and IDR 32,500 (6.50% ratio) for briquettes, respectively. Investment feasibility analysis (10% discount rate, 5-year project lifespan) indicated that all alternatives are feasible for development. Animal feed yielded an NPV of IDR 487,236, IRR of 36.37%, PI of 1.75, and a Payback Period (PP) of 2.17 years; briquettes generated an NPV of IDR 367,610, IRR of 17.51%, PI of 1.20, and PP of 3.16 years; while compost produced an NPV of IDR 132,342, IRR of 19.03%, PI of 1.24, and PP of 3.06 years. Overall, animal feed is the best alternative in terms of financial efficiency and investment feasibility.
