RAUDAH (A2B115030). The Ability in Writing Descriptive Text as result on Field Trip of Second A Grade students Junior High School at MTsN Selat, Kapuas Regency.

The objective of this research is to describe the student’s ability in writing especially descriptive writing as result on field trip. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and technique used by giving the assignment to write a descriptive text when they have done to field trip.

The object of this research is the student’s writing which scored from its substance and literature aspects. The substance aspect consists of construct a description text chronologically and suitable with the theme of field trip. the literature aspect consist of the ability in diction, language. And spelling. The data source in this research is 17 second grade students of Junior High School at MTsN Selat Kapuas Regency.

The result of this study shows that student’s ability in writing descriptive text is well. It can be seen from the data analysis, there are 2 students or 11,76 % who get the best score in the level, 10 students or 58,82 % who get in good level, 5 students are 9,4 % who get enough level, and no student who get low level and very less. This, the ability in writing descriptive text as result on field trip in second grade students of Junior High School at MTsN Selat Kapuas Regency is good.
