Abstrak

Argumentasi merupakan proses penyampaian pendapat untuk mempertahankan atau menyanggah suatu gagasan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pola argumentasi berdasarkan teori Stephen Toulmin dan teknik argumentasi berdasarkan teori Gorys Keraf. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pola dan teknik argumentasi yang digunakan narasumber program gelar wicara ROSI. Metode yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa tuturan argumentatif. Data diperoleh dari dua video program ROSI bertema #KaburAjaDulu dan #SaveRajaAmpat yang ditranskripsikan oleh peneliti. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik simak dan catat, kemudian dianalisis melalui identifikasi unsur argumentasi, klasifikasi pola dan teknik argumentasi, serta pendeskripsian hasil analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa argumentasi dalam program ROSI telah menerapkan pola argumentasi menurut teori Toulmin. Pola yang dominan adalah pola dengan unsur PP-D. Sementara itu, teknik argumentasi didominasi oleh teknik definisi. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar teks argumentasi dan menjadi rujukan bagi penelitian selanjutnya dalam mengidentifikasi tuturan argumentasi.

Abstract

Argumentation is the process of expressing opinions to defend or refute an idea. This study focuses on argumentation patterns based on Stephen Toulmin’s theory and argumentation techniques based on Gorys Keraf’s theory. The objective of this study is to analyze the argumentation patterns and techniques employed by the speakers in the ROSI talk show program. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research data consisted of argumentative utterances. The data were obtained from two episodes of the ROSI program discussing the #KaburAjaDulu and #SaveRajaAmpat topics, which were transcribed by the researcher. The data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and then analyzed by identifying the elements of argumentation, classifying the argumentation patterns and techniques, and describing the findings. The findings Indicate that the arguments presented in the ROSI program apply Toulmin’s argumentation pattern. The most dominant pattern is the PP-D pattern, while more complex patterns occur less frequently. In addition, the most frequently used argumentation technique is the definition technique. The findings of this study are expected to be utilized as teaching materials for argumentative texts. Furthermore, they may serve as a reference for future studies in identifying argumentative utterances.
