This study aims to describe peer support, describe cyberbullying prevention, and examine the relationship between peer support and cyberbullying prevention among tenth- and eleventh-grade students at a high school in the wetland area of Banjarmasin.

This study used a quantitative correlational approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 218 tenth- and eleventh-grade students selected through one-stage cluster sampling. Data were collected using peer support and cyberbullying prevention instruments with established validity and reliability, and were analyzed using Pearson Product-Moment correlation with IBM SPSS Statistics version 31.

The results showed that both peer support and cyberbullying prevention were at a moderate level (89% and 71%, respectively). Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the two variables (r = 0.744; p < 0.001), indicating that the higher the students’ peer support, the higher their ability to prevent cyberbullying. Based on these findings, schools particularly school counselors are advised to develop structured peer support programs as a preventive strategy against cyberbullying, tailored to the socio-ecological context of wetland communities.
