Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak dengan guru honorer di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Banjarbaru. Job Insecurity adalah situasi yang secara subjektif para pekerja merasakan adanya ancaman ketidakpastian terhadap kelangsungan pekerjaan dan karir yang tengah digelutinya selama ini, demi masa depannya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai kontrak dan guru honorer di Lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Banjarbaru dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 30 pegawai kontrak dan 30 guru honorer. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisa uji t-test sampel independent. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa nilai rata-rata job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak lebih besar daripada nilai rata-rata guru honorer. Maka dapat disimpulkan, terdapat perbedaan job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak dengan guru honorer di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Banjarbaru.

THE DIFFERENCE IN JOB INSECURITY BETWEEN CONTRACT EMPLOYEES WITH HONORER TEACHERS IN THE EDUCATION OFFICE OF BANJARBARU CITY

The purpose of this study was to find out the difference in job insecurity between contract employees and honorary teachers in the Education Office of Banjarbaru. Job insecurity is a situation where workers subjectively feel the threat of uncertainty for the continuity of their job and career that they are currently working on, for the sake of their future. The population in this study was the contract employees and honorary teachers in the Education Office of Banjarbaru, and the sample was 30 contract employees and 30 honorary teachers. A purposive sampling technique with criteria was used as the sampling technique. A quantitative research design with the independent sample t-test analysis technique was used in the study. The results indicated that the average value of job insecurity in contract employees was greater than that in honorary teachers. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a difference in job insecurity between contract employees and honorary teachers in the Education Office of Banjarbaru.
