              Kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal diperlukan untuk menunjang segala aktifitas dan kegiatan agar berjalan lancar. Komunikasi yang baik dapat mempengaruhi persepsi seseorang maupun orang lain. Dalam tayangan film “The Danish Girl” karya Tom Hooper, terdapat beberapa scene yang menggambarkan pola komunikasi interpersonal antar tokoh. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi interpersonal pada film “The Danish Girl” karya Tom Hooper.

              Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer berupa observasi dan sekunder yang diperoleh dari hasil literatur, artikel, jurnal serta dokumentasi-dokumentasi terkait yang dikumpulkan oleh peneliti. Metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, Studi Literatur dan dokumentasi.

              Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa peneliti mendapatkan total jumlah 23 scene yang berkaitan dengan adegan komunikasi interpersonal dengan aspek pesan yang mendominasi adalah 9 scene pesan keterbukaan dan 9 scene pesan dukungan, dan juga 5 scene mengenai pesan empati dan 2 scene mengenai sikap positif. Film ini menyampaikan bahwasanya kita sangat amat perlu berhati-hati saat menyampaikan pesan, karena pesan yang kita sampaikan belum tentu dapat diterima dengan paham atau arti yang sama oleh lawan bicara kita. Latar belakang masa lalu hingga kepribadian seseorang dapat menjadi faktor besar bagaimana seseorang menerima pesan yang kita sampaikan akan sesuai atau tidak.

ABSTRACT

            Interpersonal communication skills are needed to support all activities and activities so that they run smoothly. Good communication can affect the perception of a person and others. In the film "The Danish Girl" by Tom Hooper, there are several scenes that depict patterns of interpersonal communication between characters. The purpose of this research is to find out how interpersonal communication is in the film "The Danish Girl" by Tom Hooper.

            Researchers use qualitative research methods. The data source in this study uses primary data in the form of observation and secondary data obtained from the results of literature, articles, journals and related documentation collected by researchers. Methods of data collection in the form of observation, study of literature and documentation.

            The results of this study found that the researcher obtained a total of 23 scenes related to interpersonal communication scenes with the dominant message aspects being 9 scenes messages of openness and 9 scenes of messages of support, and also 5 scenes regarding messages of empathy and 2 scenes regarding positive attitudes. This film conveys that we really, really need to be careful when conveying messages, because the messages we convey may not necessarily be received with the same understanding or meaning by our interlocutors. Past background to one's personality can be a big factor in how someone perceives the message we convey will be appropriate or not.
