Sports and health physical education teachers are able to adapt to variousschoolsituationsandprovidebetteranddevelopinglearningforstudentsatschool. Professional sports and health physical education teachers have academicqualifications. Learning experiences in the subjects of physical education, sportsandhealtharedirectedatfosteringbetterphysicalgrowthandpsychologicaldevelopment, as well as forming a healthy and fit lifestyle for life. The problemsthat exist in public junior high schools in Aluh Aluh sub-district are known to bephysical education teachers, sports and health, who do not match their academicqualifications.

The purpose of this study was to determine the academic qualificationsof sports and health physical education teachers in State Junior High Schools inAluh-AluhDistrict.

Themethodinthisstudyisadescriptivesurveymethodusingdocumentationby lookingatthesuitabilityoftheacademicqualificationsofphysicaleducationteachersaccordingtolawnumber14of2005concerningteachersand lecturers.

The population and sample in this study were State Junior High Schoolsin Aluh-Aluh District, Banjar Regency. The sample in this study were all publicjunior high schools in Aluh-Aluh District, namely SMP Negeri 8 Aluh Aluh,BanjarRegency.

Theconclusionistheresultsoftheresearchontheacademicqualifications of sports and health physical education teachers in SMP Negeri inAluh-Aluh District there is only one school that has the appropriate academicqualifications, namely 12.5% and one school does not have sports and healthphysical education teachers, the remaining 75% of schools have teachers. physicaleducation,sports andhealth thatdo notmatch their academicqualifications.
