Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas terpaan infografis sebagai media komunikasi terhadap tingkat stress mahasiswa di Kota Banjarmasin. Infografis ini digunakan sebagai treatment pada eksperimen penelitian ini karena merupakan suatu media untuk menyampaikan informasi yang dianggap mudah sehingga ingin dibuktikan efektivitasnya.

            Metode untuk penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan tipe quasi eksperimen within subjek (pre-post) untuk mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah dari pemberian treatment. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest posttest design yang hanya melakukan treatment satu kelompok saja yaitu kelompok eksperimen.. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Kota Banjarmasin yang pernah mengalami stress. Dalam menentukan sampel digunakan rumus lemeshow yang menghasilkan 385 sampel yang dibutuhkan, lalu digunakan teknik simple random sampling dalam pengambilan anggota sampel pada 5 perguruan tinggi yaitu Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin, Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin, Universitas Islam Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjary, dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin. Kuesioner digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian yang didukung oleh wawancara pendahuluan. Dalam penganalisisan data penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji wilcoxon.

            Hasil penelitian yang berdasarkan dari uji wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05 yang berarti hipotesis H₀ ditolak dan H_a diterima. Artinya terpaan infografis sebagai media komunikasi terjadi perubahan signifikan pada tingkat stress mahasiswa di Kota Banjarmasin sehingga dianggap efektif.

This research was conducted on the basis of the aim to determine the effectiveness of infographic exposure as a communication medium on the stress level of students in Banjarmasin City. Infographics are used as a treatment in this research experiment because it is a medium for conveying information that is seen as easy so it wants to be proven its effectiveness.

            This research has a quantitative method with the type of quasi experiment within subjects (pre-post) to find out the differences before and after the provision of treatment. This research design uses a one group pretest posttest design that only treats one group, namely the experimental group. The study population was students in Banjarmasin City who had experienced stress. In determining the sample, the lemshow formula was used which resulted in 385 samples needed, then the simple random sampling technique for taking sample members at 5 universities, namely Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin State Polytechnic, Antasari Banjarmasin State Islamic University, Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjary Kalimantan Islamic University, and Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin University. The questionnaire was used as an instrument of this research supported by preliminary interviews. In analyzing the data, this research uses normality test and hypothesis testing using wilcoxon test.

            Then, for the results of the research based on the wilcoxon gives results a significance of 0.00 <0.05, which is a significant difference between the two groups. This means that exposure to infographics as a communication medium has a significant change in the stress level of students in Banjarmasin City so that it is considered effective.
