Courses of English for specific purposes are receiving a lot of attention, especially at universities. It may seem obvious that English language courses are required for college students' intellectual and linguistic development as well as their future careers in higher education. Students in business courses learn English to support their careers in a global industry. As an English for Specific Purpose (ESP) course, it is needed to research on the importance of English for Business Course for the students because this course is supposed to teach the students about the related knowledge and skills related to the Economics. Otherwise, this course might be deleted from the curriculum if it is not needed anymore by the students.

This research employed a descriptive quantitative method to collect the data. This research was conducted at Lambung Mangkurat University. The data source was the English for Business course students in the Economic Education Study Program. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The researcher used construct validation by the expert to show the validity of the instrument. The collected data were analyzed by breaking down the data using statistical procedure to interpret the data.

According to the results, 61% of all students perceived the English for Business course to be extremely useful; 17.1% of students prioritized reading ability over other language skills. Then, one of the top ten economic-related topics that the students selected was marketing (93%). When it came to other economic-related material, the majority of students (87.8%) selected the product specification. Therefore, it is recommended to ESP lecturer to consider the aspects that found on this research as references to develop English for Business course.
