Setiaporangmemiliki definisi sendiri dalam menafsirkan sebuah kata cantik.Konsep kecantikan merupakan suatu hal yang bernilai relatif, setiap orang, budaya danbangsamemilikistandarmasing-masingdalammengungkapkankecantikan.Namunseiringberjalannyawaktudanperkembanganzamanyangsemakinmodernterjadipergeseranmaknaterhadapkatacantikitusendiri.Adapun, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui representasi makna kecantikan pada unggahan akun media sosial instagram @Tarabasro

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan teknikanalisis kualitatifdeskriptif. Penelitian ini juga dilakukandengan metode penelitianSemiotika oleh Roland Barthes dan Teori Konstruksi Sosial yang berupa konotasi dandenotasiuntukmenganalisissetiappose,objek,danestetisme.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Tara Basro berusaha untuk mematahkan stereotypestandar kecantikan ideal baik yang terdapat di masyarakat maupun media. Mengemasmaksud dari unggahan foto tersebut ialah mengajak untuk lebih menghargai secara positifsegala bentuk dan tampilan tubuh. Mulai mencintai diri sendiri sebagai bentuk syukurakanpemberianTuhan.

Everyone has their own definition in interpreting a beautiful word. The conceptof beauty is a matter of relative value, each person, culture and nation has its ownstandards in expressing beauty. But over time and the development of increasinglymodern times, there has been a shift in meaning towards the word beautiful itself. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the representation of the meaning of beauty in Instagram social media account uploads @tarabasro

This research was conducted with a qualitative approach and used descriptivequalitative analysis techniques. This research was also conducted with the researchmethod of Semiotics by Roland Barthes and Social Construction Theory in the form ofconnotationsanddenotations toanalyzeeachpose,object, andaesthetic.

The results showed that Tara Basro tried to break stereotypes of ideal beautystandards both in society and the media. Packaging the purpose of the photo upload isto invite to appreciate more positively all body shapes and appearances. Start lovingyourselfas aformofgratitudefor God's gift.
