THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING STRATEGIES ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF GEOGRAPHY SUBJECT AT SMAN 1 BINUANG

 ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of geography teachers' learning strategies on the learning outcomes as well as identify more effective and efficient learning strategies in geography subject. The subject of this study are 179 students at Class X in SMAN 1 Binuang Batch 2018/2019. 

The analysis used in this research uses quantitative descriptive analysis methods and formula used is the percentage formula and product moment correlation.  The data are collected from questionnaire that given to geography teacher and the learning outcomes of students at class X in SMAN 1 Binuang Batch 2018/2019.  

The results of this research show that the learning strategies presented by geography teachers in teaching influence student learning outcomes and trigger students to be more active in the teaching and learning process.
