Translation is a complex process that involves navigating both linguistic and cultural gaps. To ensure accurate and contextually appropriate communication across diverse linguistic and cultural issues, translators must be proficient in multiple languages and possess cultural awareness. This chapter focuses on the translation method applied specifically to cultural terms. The culture issue plays a crucial role in translation, which influencing the method used to convey meaning accurately. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is the method used in this study to identify and evaluate the relevant literature in order to derive conclusion. This systematic literature review investigates the relationship between translation, cultural terms, and translation methods. The data was collected by books, journal, and movie subtitle to relate the cross-cultural issues. The result of this study shows the role of cultural issues significantly influence the choice of translation method. Through the example, it illustrates how the translation methods address the cultural nuance. There are two translation methods as effective method when dealing with cultural terms which are communicative and semantic translation. In conclusion, translation as a form of communication is not only served as cross-linguistic but also as cross-cultural communication by choosing the effective method to achieve good translation result.
