The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology announced a policy in the development of the curriculum and expand the quality of education through a new curriculum, the Independent Curriculum. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum has also prepared textbooks along it. English for Nusantara is the English textbook intended for 7th grade students to help students develop their abilities in the English language. The Pancasila Student Profile guides the implementation of the independent curriculum in all aspects of teaching and learning.

The objective of this research is to identify character values in the Pancasila Student Profile reflected in “English for Nusantara". This research used a qualitative approach using content analysis. The data used in this research were in the reading text, conversational text, picture, and task instructions in the textbook. The techniques of collecting the data were: identifying data, arranging and categorizing the data, making a description of the data. In analyzing data, this study used techniques such as data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification.

The research findings showed that there were six character values in the Pancasila student profile were foundnoble morality, global diversity, mutual assistance, self-reliance, critical reasoning andcreativitypresented in the textbook. The highest rate noble morality meanwhile self-reliance are the smallest rate value. It implied that the author of the textbook wanted students to have a noble character value in order to live in society. The research findings show that the author appeared to want to make it easier for students to comprehend the character values in English textbook.
