This research aims to (1) determine the partial effect of length of business, working hours, type of merchandise, gender, education, capital, and age on the income of traders in Barabai Keramat Market; (2) determine the simultaneous effect of length of business, working hours, education, type of merchandise, gender, capital, and age on the income of traders in Pasar Keramat of Barabai City.

This research uses a quantitative approach. The data source for this research uses primary data in the form of questionnaires addressed to traders in Barabai Keramat Market, while secondary data is obtained from the Central Agency of Statistics and UPTD Barabai Keramat Market. The research respondents were 92 traders in the Barabai Keramat Market who could be used in data processing. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling, while the statistical analysis used in this study is the instrument validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient test, t test, and F test.

The results of the research with the t test showed that the variables of length of business, working hours, type of merchandise, gender, education, capital, and age had a significant effect on income partially, while the F test showed that the variables of length of business, working hours, type of merchandise, gender, education, capital, and age had a significant effect on income simultaneously. The R square value is 0.660, or 66.0%, which means that the independent variable affects 66.0% of the dependent variable. The remaining 34.0% (100%–66.0%) is influenced by other variables outside of this research. This shows that traders in Barabai Keramat Market can increase their income by paying attention to factors such as length of business, working hours, type of merchandise, gender, education, capital, and age.
