The use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in education has revolutionized teaching methods, fostering interactive learning experiences and student autonomy. This development extends to Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Barito Utara, a public Islamic senior high school in Muara Teweh, Central Kalimantan. Teachers’ use of ICT in MAN Barito Utara English Language Teaching (ELT) has yet to be conducted. Thus, this study aims to explore how ICT is used by English teachers at MAN Barito Utara in ELT.

To examine the ICT usage among English teachers, a descriptive qualitative methodology was selected. Three teachers participated in the study, providing their perspectives through open-ended questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews. These approaches enabled a thorough investigation into their experiences and thoughts regarding their integration of ICT.

Findings reveal that ICT is used sparingly as a complementary medium in face-to-face learning. The noted ICT tools include laptops, smartphones, projectors, and speakers, which incorporate various software such as word processors, multimedia presentations, videos, audios, and social messaging app that are used to varying degress. Although recognizing ICT's educational benefits, several challenges were expressed by participants leading to underutilization. These insights underscore the need for enhancing the effectiveness of ICT integration in ELT.
