The role of human resources will be very important when facing an era of globalization which is filled with various challenges and competition, requiring organizations to improve the quality of human resources, including by increasing employee job satisfaction.  This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of perceived organizational support on job satisfaction, the influence of perceived organizational support on work engagement, the influence of work engagement on job satisfaction, and the mediating influence of work engagement between perceived organizational support on job satisfaction for non-permanent employees in the Population Service and Tanah Laut Regency Civil Registration.

The sampling method was saturated sampling or census, so that all non-permanent employees of the Population and Civil Registration Service of Tanah Laut Regency were 36 people as samples.  This research used a questionnaire with a Likert scale to measure the variables.  Data analysis method was using classical assumption tests and path analysis tests was using the SPSS 26 program.

The research results concluded that (1) perceived organizational support had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction; (2) perceived organizational support has a significant positive effect on work engagement; (3) work engagement has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction; and (4) work engagement partially mediates perceived organizational support and job satisfaction.
