This study aims to analyze teachers' teaching styles in teaching writing skills at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research, which involves conducting classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Formal Authority and Facilitator teaching styles are the most dominant in every session.

The Formal Authority teaching style provides a strong framework for students to understand expectations and develop basic writing skills. In this style, teachers give clear and firm instructions and immediate feedback on students' progress and work. Meanwhile, the Facilitator's teaching style encourages collaboration, discussion, and active student participation in the writing process. The teacher acts as a guide, supporting students' exploration of ideas and providing constructive feedback to enhance their writing skills.

The combination of these two teaching styles creates an optimal balance between structure and flexibility, allowing students to thrive in a structured learning environment while stimulating their creativity and independence. The study concludes that the appropriate use of various teaching styles can improve students' writing abilities and provide a more meaningful learning experience.
