In the past few years, YouTube has offered a significant amount of fresh educational video. Regrettably, there is a lack of research that has investigated the potential of YouTube in enhancing students' listening abilities and facilitating English language acquisition. Therefore, this study aims to address a research gap by conducting a comprehensive analysis of existing literature to investigate the impact of YouTube on enhancing English listening skills. This analysis contains eighteen studies published primarily between 2020 and 2024, with the addition of one earlier study published in 2014. The articles were acquired via Google Scholar and the International Journal. According to the research, YouTube provides authentic language resources such as podcasts, videos, and interviews that enhance listening comprehension. The study highlights the importance of employing suitable tactics to optimize YouTube's usage to enhance students' English listening proficiency. This study explores the use of YouTube to enhance English listening abilities, as well as its limitations arising from a restricted internet connection. Additionally, it discusses the importance of pedagogical supervision. Customized playlists, guided viewing, and interactive exercises can effectively address these challenges and optimize the use of YouTube for language acquisition. Hence, further investigation is necessary on academic performance.
