PERBEDAAN ACADEMIC HARDINESS PADA MAHASISWA ORGANISASI DAN MAHASISWA NON- ORGANISASI FKIK UNIVERSITAS LAMBUNG MANGKURAT

Dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi, mahasiswa dihadapkan pada berbagai tekanan akademik dan sosial yang dapat berdampak pada performa serta kesejahteraan psikologis mereka. Salah satu kemampuan penting yang dibutuhkan adalah Academic Hardiness ketangguhan akademik yang mencerminkan kemampuan bertahan, berkomitmen, dan mengelola tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan tingkat Academic Hardiness antara mahasiswa yang mengikuti organisasi dan mahasiswa yang tidak mengikuti organisasi di Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 250 responden menggunakan teknik purposive dan quota sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Revised Academic Hardiness Scale (RAHS) dengan tiga dimensi utama: commitment, control, dan challenge. Hasil analisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,491 (p > 0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat Academic Hardiness antara kedua kelompok tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan tidak secara signifikan memengaruhi tingkat Academic Hardiness.

DIFFERENCES IN ACADEMIC HARDINESS BETWEEN STUDENT ORGANIZATION MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS AT THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES, LAMBUNG MANGKURAT UNIVERSITY

In the context of higher education, students encounter various academic and social pressures that may impact their performance and psychological well-being. One essential capability required to navigate these challenges is academic hardiness—a form of academic resilience that reflects the ability to persevere, remain committed, and manage challenges. This study aims to examine whether there are differences in the level of academic hardiness between students participating in student organizations and those who do not at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University. Using a comparative quantitative approach, the study involved 250 respondents selected through purposive and quota sampling techniques. The instrument employed was the Revised Academic Hardiness Scale (RAHS), which consists of three main dimensions: commitment, control, and challenge. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test. The results showed a significance value of 0.491 (p > 0.05), indicating that there was no significant difference in the level of academic hardiness between the two groups. These findings suggest that participation in student organizations does not significantly affect students’ academic hardiness.
