ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the
development of card learning media (Card Sort) based on Problem Based
Learning (PBL) in science learning on the learning outcomes of seventh grade
junior high school students. This study uses a research and development (R&D)
method. The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were
30 students of class VII B of SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin. Data collection
techniques used expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and test
instruments through pre-test and post-test. The results showed that based on the
validation results to determine the validity of the card learning media (Card Sort)
obtained a score of 0.67 with the category "Valid". Based on the student response
questionnaire to determine the practicality of the card learning media (Card Sort)
obtained a score of 81% with the category "Very Practical". Based on the results
of the test instrument through the pre-test and post-test, the results of the
effectiveness of the card learning media (Card Sort) were obtained with a score of
0.78 with a category of "High or Very Effective". Based on the results obtained
from this Card Sort media development research, this Card Sort media can be said
to be suitable for use in learning.
