Occupational accidents continue to pose a major challenge in the mining industry, where unsafe behavior remains one of the leading causes of preventable workplace incidents despite the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems. Strengthening OHS promotion through effective communication, training, and supervision is therefore considered a key strategy for improving workers’ safe behavior and reducing occupational accident risks. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between OHS promotion and the implementation of safe behavior among production workers at CV. X. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 51 production workers selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected through validated questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that OHS communication (p = 0.008) and OHS supervision (p = 0.017) were significantly associated with safe behavior among workers, whereas OHS training showed no significant relationship (p = 0.131). OHS communication and supervision were identified as protective factors against unsafe behavior, with odds ratios of 1,92 and 2,07, respectively. Despite the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems, occupational accidents remain prevalent in the mining industry, with unsafe behavior consistently identified as a major contributing factor. Effective OHS promotion through communication, training, and supervision is therefore considered a key strategy for improving workers’ safe behavior and preventing occupational accidents.
