Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a public health problem that continues to increase in Indonesia, including in the working area of Puskesmas Martapura 1, Banjar Regency, which recorded the highest incidence rate among other health centers in the regency. Physical environmental factors of the house, such as housing density, distance between houses, and the presence of mosquito breeding sites, are thought to play a role in DHF transmission through the interaction of host, agent, and environment. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between housing density, distance between houses, and the presence of mosquito breeding sites with the incidence of DHF in the working area of Martapura 1 Community Health Center. This was a quantitative study using an analytic observational approach with a case-control design, involving 57 respondents (19 cases and 38 controls) selected through purposive sampling and matched by age and sex. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square and Fisher's Exact tests. The results showed a significant relationship between housing density and DHF incidence (p=0.049; OR=3.850; 95% CI=1.151–12.875) and between the presence of mosquito breeding sites and DHF incidence (p=0.011; OR=5.750; 95% CI=1.512–16.530), while distance between houses showed no significant relationship with DHF incidence (p=0.510). It can be concluded that housing density and the presence of mosquito breeding sites are significant risk factors for DHF incidence, so more intensive vector control efforts are needed, particularly mosquito breeding site eradication and healthy housing education in the working area of Martapura 1 Community Health Center.
